In India it is still taboo to talk about sex. Neither teachers nor parents make their children aware of its pros and cons. Even at the age of 18 we may cast our vote but till 21 or may be more we can’t buy condoms freely at any chemist shop because we are just not ready for it. We feel shy and worried at the same time as what the shop keeper would think, but we know about safe S*X and population control. So now the time is changing as Skore condoms organised India’s first condom fashion show through its AIDS awareness campaign. The show was held in Mumbai and all garments you will see in pictures are created out of condoms.
As reported by International Business Times, the general manager, marketing, Skore Condoms,Vishal Vyas said – “The main idea behind associating with the students to conduct an event of this caliber is to make condoms a fashion statement…”
The condom company organised the show in association with the Rotaract Club of Bombay Film City. 36 teams were put together comprising 78 students from 11 fashion institutes.
Over 2 lac condoms were used for the fashion show.
