  • Metronidazole is an antibiotic often applied to clean vaginal or oral infections or sometimes to clean infected ulcers.
  • Tinidazole is another antibiotic often applied to cure some infections same as metronidazole. It’s even aid to clean bacteria termed Helicobacter pylori from the gut.

Some antibiotics remain that can interact with alcohol. Therefore, you should be cautious of drinking alcohol if you need:

  • Linezolid: it may interact with some sort of alcoholic drink, like beer, sherry, wine and lager
  • Erythromycin: little evidence advises that alcohol drinking can make delay the outcome of this antibiotic.
  • Co-Trimoxazole: alcohol drinking at the time of taking this antibiotic may cause a parallel reaction as metronidazole. But for this one, it is very rare and if alcohol remains at moderate amount then it does not generally create a problem.
